Flößerbier (Raftsman Beer)
Available from 12 April
Mainz-Kastel boasted a long-standing rafting tradition and was home to one of the largest rafting ports along the Rhine. Large stone blocks were transported, for example, for the construction of Mainz Cathedral and the Kilian Church in Mainz-Kostheim.
The last raft to Holland was sent on its journey in 1964. Rafting ceased altogether in November 1968.
Back then, the rafters supplied themselves with a stronger beer from the surrounding breweries. We want to commemorate this tradition with our Castel'er Flößerbier (Raftsman's Beer).
Original gravity 13° Plato, alcohol content 5.3%

Bear Heart Foundation
Please support!
"Bärenherz brought us back a piece of quality of life ..." a nice conclusion for the work in the children's hospice Bärenherz Wiesbaden. It is the testimony of a mother who is affected that brings exactly what a children's hospice wants to be: a hostel that provides protection, security and security for families whose children are life-shortening and terminally ill. Here you will find advice, qualified care, loving care, relief and comfort, from diagnosis to the death of the child and beyond.
The Bärenherz Foundation supports such facilities for families with children who are terminally ill and have a low life expectancy, especially children's hospices.

- Donate or buy a little bear with a heart for 2.50 euros here at the Castel brewery!
