Welcome to the Castel brewery - we are open!
When it was built in 1990, the establishment of the restaurant, which is located almost exactly between Wiesbaden and Mainz, emphasized authenticity. The model was the classic Bavarian breweries. Furnished in a rustic style, with solid wooden furniture, typical Bavarian beer and an open gallery, the restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere that invites you to linger over a good beer.
On our beer, from our own brewery we are very proud. Brewed according to the German purity law, from Taunus spring water, the best malt and Tettnang cone hops, the naturally cloudy, award-winning Castel'er beer unfolds its special aroma that makes it so popular.

Due to the daily changing daily ticket and many activities such as "Open House" or "Carriage Ride" on Pentecost Sunday, the restaurant in Mainz-Kastel, located centrally between Mainz and Wiesbaden, invites you to frequent visits.
Tradition meets modern!
Annual beer festivals such as the "Maibockanstich" and "Oktoberfest", as well as a hearty slaughter festival with live music and dance are popular occasions for our guests from Mainz, Wiesbaden and the entire Rhine-Main area!
For all festivals, specially brewed beer specialties such as Märzen, Maibock or Festbier are offered.
A very special beer is served on cold days: The Castel´er strong beer "Castelator" with an alcohol content of approx. 6.9% vol. The Castel´er Doppelbock beer, which is particularly popular in Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate, is also available in Boxes and barrels for home.
For the fifth season, the Castel´er Fools Pils is hanging on the tap. Every year our fool's party rises on Shrovetide Saturday with party DJ, exuberant mood and tipsy treats.
The "Day of Beer", that is the "Anniversary of the German Purity Law", is particularly celebrated. On April 23, we will take you through our brewery to give you a little insight into the art of brewing beer.
